Mike,
As someone who has upgraded to a widescreen TV, I would like to recommend that you also factor a speaker system into your budget. It’s wonderful to watch movies on a large screen, however, it’s even better when you have an excellent sound system as well.
After all, half of the TV/movie experience is the audio track.
