Episode 29 – 042606

We're moving ...The last show in the current Crank Compound.

This week, on a tearful last episode in this space, Jenny sits in one last time to talk about the British comedy series, Spaced and some other crap you'll love … or not.   You also get to hear our first audio listener mail, after which some emails get read. (Thanks a lot to all of you who've written so far, we love it!)

Music by Open Trench and the Leaving Trains.

oh my god you open with spaced audio, could this be the best show yet?

  2. crank! Says:

Hahaha … only if you’re crazy … but for you this could be the best week ever!

    crank!

  3. groble Says:

no more live jenny. boohooo hoo

i can tell this is going to be an emotional episode =C

  4. groble Says:

I care crank, I CARE! i saw that episode of dr who and i thought it was very good, space werewolves are the best.

it’s just a shame your enthusiasm for the show isn’t shared with the other, oh i know how you feel; poor misunderstood SG1

SPACED= jessica stevenson is the woman from spaced. (also stars in shaun of the dead as the woman from the other group escaping the zombies)

Robby Rodriguez? the spy kids guy? does he listen to the show?

gah mike you just said it was jessica stevenson and ruined my MI3 info.

spaced 3 “may” still be on the cards but don’t hold your breath

and i like “not another teen movie”

  5. groble Says:

man i just keep leaving too many comments, but i’m loving this show. Spaced, Teen Movies what more do we need

anyway i think the film jenny was talking about was “boys and girls”

  6. groble Says:

wow, jenny has a better british accent than i do

“there were a lot of panels and a lot of words” – hahhaha best review ever. hostile reviews are great, this guy should get his own website. but ouch for the DD guys.

    aww group hug

    *sniffle*

i think mike should draw the group hug. and yes the myspace page is amazing easily one of the best i’ve seen over there.

and now the shows over and can stop laughing and get back to my essay

  7. Tony Says:

Hey guys, with your continuing complaints about Itunes not including your podcast, I was wondering if it had anything to do with these things.

    1. An existing podcast called crankcasting.com
    2. The fact that every other week the title of the crankcast mp3 changes )most annoying( especially when searching for it in the ipod
    3. Other people called Mike Norton with Podcasts

If it ain’t any of those – ah well…

  8. Taber Says:

Taber liked Wolf Creek. For all the reasons Crank said. *** out of ****

  9. crank! Says:

Groble … glad to see you’ve enjoyed yourself … we aim to please!

Tony, you may be on to something there, though I can’t for the life of me figure out how we’d have all the shows the same name without overwriting all the older shows. At least we stay consistent with the begining always being Crankcast, followed by the show number and the date.

Taber … right on, it was fun watching it, guessing what would happen and then being wrong.

That and ‘Head on a stick’.

    crank!

  10. Drew M Says:

Yeah, I have no Idea how you guys would keep the same file name for every episode… I’ve had no problem with the current file naming structure. It’s what I do so I better like it.

  11. Sean McKeever Says:

Groble was funny. If only his podcast were that good! :P

Dude, you need to get this Hostile Reviewer guy or someone to read those reviews. It could be like the Armchair of Rage (or whatever it was) guy from Conan O’Brien. His shtick is a riot.

  12. groble Says:

tell me about it =C I can’t use my best stuff on someone elses show

I hope this move isn’t going to be messing up the show schedule though becuase a week is already too long to wait

  13. Groble Says:

you know i’m listening to the show again and i can’t help but feel that jenny needs a show of her own. that part where she says “send us more, people” is way better than dawn from DNDS.

failing her own show i think jenny should at least become a more regular guest on the show, especially if she doesn’t do the intro’s anymore.

  14. groble Says:

    *jitters* need new episode *jitters*

  15. Paul D. Storrie Says:

Did I hear right? Did Crank (in reply to Jenny’s “You guys look alike” comment) actually quote my “Norton & the Crank” theme lyrics?
