I know this wasn’t directed at me, but I’ll chime in anyway…

I liked Pontypool, it was an effective use of tension, minimal sets and cast.

I like what I’ve seen of other Bruce McDonald movies too. Check out Hard Core Logo and the Tracey Fragments.

I have not yet seen Pontypool, for whatever reason it is not available on Netflix yet despite the DVD being released on January 26th. I am contemplating ordering the region free Blu-Ray from the UK. It is a special Edition chock full of features, whereas the US version is barebones.

Pretty much feel the same way as Mike about Smith’s oeuvre, including his sparing of Mallrats. I think Mallrats is his one great movie — his ‘masterpiece’, even — and it’s funny, ’cause Smith himself seems to’ve disowned it.

Anyway, a question for Taber: has he seen Pontypool?

@Wayne Hagel: I’ll likely check it out eventually, but I don’t think it’s on my watch list as a priority…I’ve got too many episodes of the Highlander to finish yet.

Silent Hill Origins is a prequel game. It was released on the PSP, then went over to the PS2. The PSP one is actually on clearance at Toys R Us stores for $5 last I checked

Silent Hill Experience is the PSP webcomic.

I was gonna leave a huge defense of Cop Out here, but fuck it, to each their own and all that. I loved it, and while Mike’s hatred of Smith probably wouldn’t let him enjoy it, crank! should totally give it a shot when it hits the torrent sites. Funny stuff, and a great throwback to when buddy movies reigned supreme. Great show as always guys! Keep it up.
