We seem to have been having a couple of issues over the past week or so.

The first is looking like it’s related to a recent update from Apple for iPods and iPhones. Symptoms include the software locking up when it hits our mp3. This appears to happen with our older episodes as well as newer ones and I havn’t found a clear explanation for it online yet. I’m still seeing if there’s anything I can do from this end to help.

The second issue was our RSS feed disappearing into spam. As far as I can tell that was something odd going on with Feedburner (the place we used to route our feed) and the only option I could find to fix it was to stop using them. The old feed address should now be redirected to the site’s feed address http://crankcast.net/?feed=rss2 . If your podcatching software doesn’t update soonish you can try and manually input the new address.

Maybe I wanted to tell you a sad story about how I’m now hooked on DDO and I’ve spent every waking minute of the past week leveling up, but I can’t.

The truth is that we did record this week, but I can’t get it to sound legible and it was too late in the week to do it again.

It’s strange, I could understand the conversation while we were doing it, but it’s a garbled cell-phone nightmare now.

That’s really a shame, because we talked to Patrick Brower of Challengers (comics AND conversation!) about the pre Windy City Comic Con party and he told us a great story about his first car.

We’re having to record late this week due to construction workers being really loud above my head.

This was going to be it, the episode where we had some brilliantly insightful conversation about comics that would change everything.

There were going to be dancing bears, girls popping out of cakes and party favors.

Unfortunately, I got caught in a nutty wind-storm that knocked the power and cable out for most of the week. When the cable finally did start working it was spotty; it would come on for an hour, then go off again for five.

By the time everything settled down pretty well the week had been blown.

We’ll have a new show up this week, though.
