Hey Mike
the I.T. guy I work with had problems with his Wacom stuff on Leopard, this is what he said he did to get it going right.
to get the tablets working you must uninstall any and all previous drivers (not delete, unistall) and then install the newest driver.

I want Crank’s job. Sit at home, record podcasts in the middle of the afternoon, make grill cheese for a world famous comic book artist like Mike Norton. Say you work for a comic book publisher, yet never actually go to work.
You’re livin the dream.
And, Woo Hoo! More I.T. Crowd love!
And dangit, i’m only on season 5 of Buffy and 2 of Angel, I’m basically doing what Sam does ( pretty quickly too, just started in Sept ). Didn’t know Dru came back and turned someone into a vampire. Now I’ll be looking for that.
Still, great ep again guys.

I liked the hair metal talk. Speaking of kids singing innappropriate songs, the whole series of Kidz Bop CDs are just ridiculous. Booty shakin’ music, talking about partying, etc, just sort of makes me feel weird. Also, that song by Soulja Boy where he says Supaman dat ho, you know the one? (I didn’t until last week) Kids are singing that in my wife’s second grade class. Superman dat ho is a dirty sex thing. I guess the solution is no music at all until you reach 16. Until you reach that age, you have to listen to either classical music or NPR.

How about making them all listen to Black Sabbath and Rainbow over and over?
crank!
November 14th, 2007 at 6:12 pm
I looked at Gazebo of Destruction’s myspace. No pics in any gazebos what-so-ever. :(
November 14th, 2007 at 9:30 pm
Black Sabbath and Rainbow? Yes! So are we talking Ozzy or Dio years here?
November 15th, 2007 at 6:56 am
How John Wayne met Dr Manhattan.
November 15th, 2007 at 9:15 am
I was actually thinking Ian Gillan’s Sabbath …. Keep away from the Digital Bitch! Ooooh Born Again is such a good album.
So the Duke was taken out by a Nuke? I’ve got to see this movie now.
The other funny thing about looking through the GoD pics (aside from no gazebo’s) is that they too think “Power to the Peephole” is funny.
crank!

So a nuclear bomb really was the only thing that could stop John Wayne.

Hey Mike,
Since Deep Discount 20% off sale is about to end, I was wondering if you bought anything this time.
Solid show as always, gentlemen!

Thanks for your well wishes on the previous show David, forgot to mention it in my cold/backpain induced haze.
On a different note everyone should go watch ‘Jerome Bixby’s Man From Earth’, it’s a neat movie.
crank!

Crank,
Glad to hear enjoyed ‘Jerome Bixby’s Man From Earth.’ Sounds like it’s in my realm of interest as well. I picked up the film as a blind buy during DeepDiscount.com’s sale along with many other films and TV shows you guys have discussed on the show (e.g. the ‘Masters of Horror’ box set).
Looking forward to the next episode,

Has Mike mentioned the Deep Discount 20% off sale in the past? I feel that that may have been me. I just dropped $500 over the last two weeks. Major purchases include the complete Angel box set ($77.60 shipped) and Dr Katz, the complete series 13 disc (!) boxed Set ($68 shipped)
I also recommend picking up The Quiet Earth, one of the better “last man on earth” films. It’s about $8 and comes in a nice steelbook case.

Taber,
I think Mike may have mentioned DD’s sale on the show back in June IIRC. Or maybe it was on the forum.
The Quiet Earth is a pretty good film, however, the steelbook cover was a bit of a spoiler for me. Since I’m not sure if you’ve watched the film, I won’t say anything else.
Any chance you could post a list of your DVD purchases from the sale? I’d love to see what piqued your interest enough to purchase a DVD rather than go through Net Flix.

Hi David,
Below is a list of all of the things I ordered from DDD these last 2 weeks:

Upright Citizens Brigade Season 2
Robot Chicken Season 2
Close Encounters of the Third Kind 30th anniversary Ultimate Edition (Blu-Ray)
Ratatouille (Blu-Ray)
Ocean’s…Boxset (Ocean’s 11-13) (Blu-Ray)
Paris, Je’ Taime 2-disc Limited Edition
Seinfeld Season 9
Hostel 2 (Blu-Ray)
Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, The Complete Series
Spider-Man 3 (Blu-Ray)
Live Free or Die Hard 2-Disc Unrated edition
Shrek the Third (HD-DVD)
The City of Violence
Angel: The Complete Series
Dog Bite Dog
Arcade Fire: Funeral (CD not included with 20%)
Amazon also had a buy one get one free deal on select Blu Rays, so I bought:

Hostel: Director’s Cut
These orders have pushed my movie collection over the 1600 mark.

Very cool DVDs, Taber!
I purchased a ton myself [ http://davidmackguide.com/stores/dd.htm ] and pushed my collection up to 1689 [ http://www.invelos.com/dvdcollection.aspx/davidmackguide ], however, about 98% of the DVDs I bought this time fall into the “background noise while I work on my website” category.
By the way, if you have time during your next appearance on the Crankcast, could you review Dog Bite Dog?
The Dragon Dynasty line looks really interesting and I’d love to hear your thoughts on this film and the line’s upcoming films if possible. I just discovered HK and SK films and want to find some gems :)
Oh, yeah. Curse you for introducing me to Seagalology! I can’t believe I picked up all of his movies after listening to you talk about him during your last appearance on the show!

By the way, Crank, my apologies if I double-posted just now. My browser crashed shortly after my first reply and I didn’t know if my response made it through to the server.
Anyway, feel free to delete either post and this one :)
