Crankcast Episode 113 – 120507
Even though we forgot to mention it during the show, Mike put the Around Comics guys and the hosts from the Totally Rad Show in the All New Atom #18 and the Steampunk themed wedding, that crank went to, got boing-boinged today!
This week on a Crankcast that won’t stop kicking the seat in front of them at the movie theatre… Taber’s back and ready to tell us what’s good and bad in movies, before talking a bit about games and game-to-movie adaptations and then emails… for Taber.

Speaking of comics, we should have mentioned that I am featured in the new issue of Hack/Slash. As well as graphic interpretations of Crank and Mike.

Dang. I really liked this episode — and was going to rave about it — until I realized it’s rated PG-13, only runs 76 mins, didn’t even crack a million-dollar budget and totally splatted on Rotten Tomatoes.

I don’t think I’m in there Taber.
You are for sure though.
Noel, thanks for reminding us we’re box office flops.

I haven’t been able to see a parody movie since Top Secret. Mike’s comment about people being that dumb that they like the movie made me think of Idiocracy. Really funny, really scary movie.

Hey Noel, did you see The Mist perchance? I’m curious as to your thoughts.

Latest episode doesnt want to download on iTunes
December 8th, 2007 at 9:34 pm
iTunes has never loved us, not from the very beginning… we had a good run of painless operation though until this.
Henrik, and anyone else having problems with us and iTunes, could you try re-subscribing via iTunes and see if that synchs it back up?
This problem seems to be sporadic, but I keep it hearing about it more often, so I am trying to figure out what the deal is.
If re-subscribing works for you, please let me know.

MEATBEE New metal? You have just given us a heap of stuff for our next release, Hee hee thanks guys

Crank, I don’t know if this helps or not, but the downloading problems are not limited to your show. It’s definitely an iTunes thing. Seemingly randomly, iTunes will act like it has downloaded the entire file, but then the show will end early. This has happened to me with Crankcast, Around Comics, and SModcast, among others.

Hey Mike the best way to get started in tf2 is pick a class and stick to it for while or play engineer or medic. Engineer seems kind of tough on the surface but it’s passive aggressive play style. All you do is build stuff that can heal your teammates and kill your enemies. Medic is less complicated. Find somebody good at heavy, point your healing gun at them and don’t get killed. I must say however the best way to play this game is on pc. 3000 active servers and mods is the reason.{I do have a xb 360} Darkon is cool by the way. Half life might make a good movie. The story is all there they just need to fill out the Gordon Freeman character.
Craig mccracken did power puff girls. Planet terror is Awesome.

Henrik, thanks for trying it out though.
Charlie, leave it to me to give you another soundbyte.
Josh S., thanks for letting me know that. I still havn’t been able to track down what might be wrong on this end, with the exception that lately the host has been a bit bogged down.
John John John John, McCracken! that was it. It’s been a while since I’ve seen it.

Some of us are chained to desks waiting for the sweet release of death — or a new Crankcast.

Just sitting here waiting to have Heroes spoiled for me this week…
Still waiting…
How does one wrestle a bear in Chicago alleyways? Circus candy does suck! What kind of man would buy a pug and insult it by calling it a dog? How much is the iphone going for now?
December 12th, 2007 at 4:50 pm
Proof Mike eats babies?
December 12th, 2007 at 5:44 pm
I knew it! In the absence of a new episode, the Crankcast Fan Fiction writing has begun!
December 12th, 2007 at 6:35 pm
There I was just walking to Dark Tower Comics and Collectables on Chicago’s North Side, when I saw a dark figure tossed through the air in front of me to land on a car that was parked on the street. I was surprised and fell back as the windshield burst and the figure rolled off to lay on the sidewalk. As I struggled to get myself to stand and check on the figure a large black bear emerge.
Which was unusual as Chicago is brown bear country…

Oh man… sorry guys, I meant to make a post.
And I just peed myself.
Someone actually saw the bear?!?!?!?!
