Crankcast Week 197 – 20090716
Han shot first, we’re ok with that.
This week on a slightly nerdy episode of the Crankcast… Kevin Mellon’s on to talk with Mike about their evolution as artists, modern hero themes and random goodness.

Dexter rules.
Spit out your goldang gum, Crank.
More Yeti crooning from Mike, please.

If everyone’s mom is unavailable I will happily volunteer to be the new announcer girl ;-)
Love you guys and all the ‘nerdy’ talk!

I ALSO have an Australian Shepherd! It’s all I’ve had since 1990.
Blue eyes are common, but not tied that tightly to pure breeding other than to say it’s a recessive trait. So breeding “true” increases the frequency.

Mike, great Yeti vocals. Marshall who are the 40 yearolds that broke in? (inspire us latebloomers). When crank was mentioning the sax not sounding right I imagined the saxman track on lonely island cd. Another great episode, thanks!

RE: The indie creator who commented on the Kirkman Manifesto
Pretty sure Kevin Mellon was talking about Colleen Doran, ’cause the person who asked her about it…was me! I was hoping she’d get into it more, actually, but oh well.

Will we be seeing more pages from Trinity up on Cadence anytime soon? And how does the conversation at DC go that ends with Mike doing 30 pages of BC/GA, and a Blue Beetle backup?
Good conversation: “Mike, we’re loaning you Rip Hunter’s time machine”
Bad conversation: “Here’s the Eclipso Diamond. You just have to do a little favor.”

@Michael Ha! Nice. Yeah, we walk a fine line when talking about that sort of stuff, so I didn’t mention her on purpose. She’s been a great career influence on me (unbeknown to her), but for some reason I waffled on attributing the quote to her specifically. Thanks for posting that link, her whole series of “BAD PUBLISHER” posts should be required reading.

@Noel: Dexter was good, I chew more gum this week, Mike does no more Yeti, sadly.
@Nyssa: thanks for the offer, but I’m not sure we’re ready for a new announcer girl yet, Jenny was the archetype.
Thanks fer listening folks!
