Crankcast Week 293 – 20110518
Mike fell down, he broke his crown…
This week on the Crankcast…Despite suffering injury due to a water fetching mishap, Mike manages to soldier through and talk about how he likes Matt Smith and is frightened by him at the same time. We also cover a bunch of other tv talk and read emails.
Don’t forget to check out Double Feature’s second month. It’s horror themed and has stories by Sean Dove and B. Clay Moore with Ryan Browne. Dig it.

Entertaining show, as always, Crank! I am kinda bummed that PugFest wasn’t discussed though.

I have the overwhelming urge to punch whoever green light and/or bought “work it”. There’s a clip of it over at ABC.com, it makes me long for the return of According to Jim or any show from the TGIFriday programing block.

What I thought was worst about Smallville is how they had to have this 8 years later ending where everything gets put back into comic/movie continuity. Including introducing Jimmy Olsen’s “brother” .
The cancelled Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior had one of the dumbest concepts ever. For some reason the FBI has to hide Behavioral Analysis Units in secret hidden warehouses so they can look more hardcore on the show. Meanwhile, the real FBI BAU is looking into profiling white collar criminals. There really aren’t that many serial killers for the BAU to catch. Go figure.
Leverage is coming back June 26.

@Steve I thought it sounded lame from the brief description, but that video makes it look horrible.
@Paul I know, right? The shoehorned ending made no sense. They had advance warning! Bad storytelling.
at least it’s over,
crank!

Sadly we know that the real ending to Smallville is a cast member signing stuff at a comic convention.

I can STRONGLY recommend CORNER GAS!!! It’s Northern Exposure meets Seinfeld, with lots of Canadian celebrities and “abooots” – eh. Very funny, and I even squirted a few tears at times. You’ll learn to love the intro and outro music! Love that show!!! I own a The Ruby/Corner Gas mug!
