    taber, i only know michael shannon from the first few episodes of boardwalk empire that i watched, but if you thought his performance that you raved about was better than heath ledger’s as the joker, then my anticipation for man of steel (where shannon is playing zod) just surpassed dark knight rises.

    Luckymustard, I also recommend the movie Bug with Michael Shannon and Ashley Judd. Another terrific performance. He was also nominated for an Oscar for Revolutionary Road, which is a flawed film but interesting nonetheless.

    thanks taber. i saw bug in the theater back in 2006. wasn’t aware of him at the time. gonna have to watch it again soon then.
