Crankcast Episode 107 – 102407
We got nothing.
This week on a Crankcast that’s awfully long for having nothing to say … Taber was supposed to be on, but he has the flu so we wing it, talking about wierd movies and comics without him. Mike denies ever eating a baby, again. Finally there’s email!
Comment here, mail here and friendship here, or here.

For someone who’s never eaten a baby, you sure do deny it a lot! I never thought you ate a baby, Mike. Now…not so sure.
October 24th, 2007 at 1:49 pm
Ah, well, Taber needs his time in the corner.
October 24th, 2007 at 3:05 pm
I really was curious to hear what Taber had to say about the 24 hour podcast…
October 24th, 2007 at 3:11 pm
Methinks the Baby Eater doth protest too much.
October 24th, 2007 at 5:17 pm
He should be on next week …
By the way, I’ve never actually seen Mike eat a baby.
crank!

Seen, yes, but what have you heard? A wet slurp accompanied by a rattle is as good as a bloody glove!
October 24th, 2007 at 7:03 pm
If the rattle does not fit, you must acquit?

Anytime a reference to Maude is made, shit is good.
I’ve listened to every one of your podcasts, gentlemen, including all 24 hours of the 24 hours. I dig.
Heroes was flimsy the first season. It’s full-on flacid this season. No excuse for dumb.
I would also like to thank Mike for correctring Skottie Young regarding Chasquido. Thanks to Taber for that episode in the 70’s. You know the one. The one where he read an e-mail as both Christopher Walken and Jeff Goldblum.
I’ve had a wonderful evening, but this wasn’t it.
October 25th, 2007 at 12:01 am
I, personally, do all my own baby eating in privacy.

Crank, Crank, Crank. Once again you’re a boon for misinformation. The Demons movies are a)produced by Dario Argento but directed by Lamberto Bava and b) are Italian films dubbbed into english.
Also, I can no longer access the 24 hour podcast website. I get “Internet Explorer cannot open 24hourcomicpodcast.com Operation Aborted” It displays the home page, but when I click OK on the error message it goes to the Internet Explorer Cannot Display Webpage message. Please help me Webmaster.

I’m not sure what the deal is there Taber … it seems to open fine here.
Can anyone else replicate the problem and send me some feedback?
kthxbye,
crank!

It does the same for me, but when I hit refresh it seems to work.

Crank are you still working for DD?
After listening to th 24H tingy dingy you seem…not to be working for DD…..
October 29th, 2007 at 7:31 am
Hey guys. Heroes has been pretty good so far in my opinion except for the plot with the Mexicans (i just can’t seem to care about them at all). My only problem with it so far is the dodgy bluescreen (are they overstretching their budget?) and the BAD irish accents. I wouldn’t mind if they were bad Cork irish accents, which is where they’re supposed to be, but the’re bad Northern Irish accents. Totally different part of the country; totally different accent. The girl’s accent is good actually, but again; it’s a Northern Irish accent. Oh yeah, and no one in Ireland says ‘Boyo’
Phew! Now i feel better.
Please forgive my rant.

Declan, I wouldn’t know a north accent from a south, but I feel your pain … Heroes is one of those shows that I just don’t mind being dumb though.
I think they’re from South America btw, they were just passing through Mexico? I could be completely off about that, but that’s the impression I got anyway.
Jimsquared, I’m not working at DDP anymore in the job I was doing. I still do the odd thing with them here and there and probably will continue to, though.

hah … thanks!

I think you’re right bout them being from South America, Crank. Ah man, here i am complaining about not paying attention to people’s heritage, and then i get the nationality of the brother and sister wrong.
I’m such a tool.

How did Mike become known as the baby eater? Stay out of my territory, Norton!!!
Allison Mack has been in both Philly and Chicago, I think, but she was in Philly first. 2003 or 2004. Not that I generally pay attention to such things.
24 hour comic podcast 2: 2008! I’m there!! All 24 hours!
