Crankcast Episode 114 – 121307

the Ultimate Warrior! If you’ve been experiencing problems with the iTunes and the downloading therefrom we offer apologies. Frankly I’m stumped as to why, but we have also gotten reports that it isn’t just our show. I’m still looking into it though to see if there’s something on our end we can do to fix it.

This week on a Crankcast that rambles more than that guy in the cardboard box outside your apartment… we talk about the mental stability of the Ultimate Warrior, and Mike’s tough Xmas, plus lots and lots of email!

Yep, I am the Ultimate Warrior

    The second one

    The one that died

Seriously, Crank had to ask if it really was snowing outside. Man, you are doing nothing to shack the image of crazy shut in are you?

  2. the amazing wally Says:

    You know guys
the ultimate warrior had a comic book published back in 1996 called WARRIOR
i remember the shop i used to hang out at ordered way too many copies of the damn thing
and it read just like his promos in the WWF (E)
i googled for it but nothing came up image wise though i read that it is in collected graphic novel form.
just figured you might get a kick out of that nugget of information

  3. crank! Says:

Hey now Steve… I thought he meant that it was snowing right then.

Wally, you think it’s time for a new UW book?!

  4. Taber Says:

I have indeed seen Hot Rod, and loved it. In fact I am hosting a Hot Rod party tomorrow where we will be serving appetizers such as Hot Rods and Cool Beans.

  5. Chris Neeson Says:

The Ultimate Warrior sounds an awful lot like Gary Busey yelling.

  6. Razorburn2021 Says:

UW is officially the new Thor. It’s like he’s in Mike’s head… With the electic power of a thousand toaster ovens being dominated by the spiritual butter knife of the Warrior Nation… Or something like that.

Anyway, have you guys ever saw the clip where Robocop made an appearance at a WWF event?

  7. crank! Says:

You’re kidding? I can’t say I’ve seen it, but screw Robocop vs. Terminator, I want to see Robocop vs. the Ultimate Warrior!

  8. Tobey Cook Says:

Razorburn: It was WCW, not WWF. It was back in 1990 at Capitol Combat (subtitled The Return of Robocop). Probably, other than the use of Chucky (yes, to promote the release of Child’s Play 3), one of the worst cross-promotions in history. Right up there with David Arquette becoming WCW World Champion.

Anyways, if you want to see the Robocop bit, it’s here:

Also, here’s the clip of David Arquette as WCW champ (with a special guest appearance by Kurt Russell and Courtney Cox):

Enjoy those, and thanks once again for an awesome show. Probably easily the funniest one in months thanks to the Ultimate Warrior bits. Maybe you guys should do ‘Wisdom of the Warrior’ or something as a regular Crankcast feature.

  9. Josh S. Says:

    Speaking of his comic…

Merry Christmas from the Ultimate Warrior!

I am not responsible for the trauma you’ll undergo from looking at that link. Safe for work, but only just.

  10. Razorburn2021 Says:

    For my man, Crank!

I do think it’s WCW, however. Pretty much the same thing. Man, Wrestling in the 80’s was hilarious.

A bonus segment, that features a trimmed down version of the Robocop appearance, but features many, MANY more ridiculous moments from years gone by.

  11. crank! Says:

Dear god I think my brain just sort of stopped… just for a second.

    Is that Liefeld on art?

    Robocop and Sting!

    oh no.

  12. Crowley Says:

I do not look like Theodore. I’ll fight you Mike!

Check out Warrior on a Fox New’s Hannity and Colmes endorsing….
    Wait for it…

  13. the amazing wally Says:

Wally, you think it’s time for a new UW book?!

Yknow the part of me that is rational and sane says “no”
but thinking of the material it could give you and mike to revisit at a later date…hmm…maybe.
I did consider hiring the Warrior to show up at my workplace in full regalia while i boom his theme through the PA speakers and just let him run around the office for about 5 minutes then watch the reaction.

    or…you could send…

im pretty sure that if the money was right hed go for it.

  14. steve Says:

That can’t be Liefeld, you can clearly see Santa’s feet.

  15. Crowley Says:

    Holy crap!
