The iTunes feed has not been working for me in the last few days– not sure if that is true for anyone else, or if that could get looked at, but I only knew there was this new episode by coming to the website.
And now that I am here, I’ll never leave.

Yep, me too
Resubscribe to the feed. That usually works for me.

The iTunes feed is not working for me, either. I have the exclamation point that states “the Crankcast does not seem to be a valid podcast URL. I unsubscribed and then subscribed again, as suggested, but still nothing. I’ve been having the same issue for a few days just like David D. I need my Crankcast, though, so I will download the new episode from the site.

Did the same and it still fails for me as well. Those who are using itunes, did you upgrade to the latest ipod os, iOS4?
I’ve been having the problem since then.

Weirdness going on with the feed and feedburner.
I think that’s what’s been screwing up the feed validity.
Trying to fix it now.

I dont know if it has anything to do with the feed, but i have the same problem as last time, when i try to listen to the episode on my iphone it just goes straight to the home screen, and its the only podcast that happens to, not a huge problem but it does seem a little weird.

For the love of god DO NOT SEE THE LAST AIRBENDER MOVIE!!!
I saw it yesterday and it is the worst movie ever made!!! Tabor needs to do an indepth analisis of this movie!
The whole time I was sitting there all I could think was: How can a movie be this bad??? It cost 150 million to make and I have no idea what they did with the money. M. Night should never be aloud near another film!!!!

Heya Henrik, If you get a sec could you check the last mp3 that played correctly and see if it’s still playing correctly?
July 4th, 2010 at 2:11 pm
Hey Crank,
I’ve had the same issue Henrik has had with the last two episodes, and only with the Crankcast. I thought it might be an issue with updating the software on my iPod Touch, but everything is up to date as far as I can tell.

Can’t believe I missed the IT Crowd started Series 4
Wish it streamed in the States.

I get the same error with older episodes, so i am starting to think that the problem is the new Apple OS
July 7th, 2010 at 1:44 pm
I just saw a thread in the using iTunes with Windows section on Apple’s support forum and it seems to indicate a lot of folks are having similar problems since the new update. http://discussions.info.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2484672&start=0&tstart=0

Just a heads up, the feed isn’t working for the Zune Marketplace, either. YES, that Zune. Thought it might help, as that the new Apple OS might not be the culpret.

I think the feed and the crashing are two separate issues.
The feed was bad for a bit b/c of something weird going on with feedburner, wherein the feed they were serving wasn’t ours but some weird spam. I closed that feed and redirected it back our website feed instead and from my tests it looks ok.
You may need to refresh/delete/resubscribe or some other thing to get your podcatching software to redirect to to the correct feed if it doesn’t fix itself.
The mp3 crashing thing is different altogether and I have n oclue why it’s happening yet. That does seem to be related to recent Apple update, but it still doesn’t make sense.
The internet is dead says Prince.

Uh is anyone else still having problems with the feed?
Episode 247 isn’t showing up on Google Listen and Winamp won’t read the feed at all.
July 8th, 2010 at 5:33 pm
Try something like unsubscribing and resubscribing, or just refreshing if that works.
The old feed url is supposed to be redirecting to http://crankcast.net/feed/ .
If all else fails and you have the option, you might also try to manually enter that address in your podcatching software.
Still not sure if there’s anything I can do to help the crashing issue with the Apple folks.

Say crank, did you notice that Make It or Break It has started a new season? I’m sure that Mike would like to hear all about it on the next podcast :D
July 9th, 2010 at 4:18 pm
I did and have been watching, but Mike won’t let me talk to him about it.
