Tuesday, October 25th, 2005

This week’s salient points:

  • Mike tries to win a nifty Blue Beetle piece by Byrne on Ebay
  • Mike reveals his embarassing side
  • We talk about Tim Truman’s "Scout" series and go on to discuss decompressed storytelling and why I think it’s an awful format for a single issue
  • Mike has cons coming up …
  • I completely forget when my birthday is …

We also feature music clips of "My Kingdom for a Trundle Bed" by the Bound Stems and "Come and Go" by Careful!

Feel free to leave comments here or to email us.

Church over RuinsWe’re back!

This week’s highlights include:

  • Mike’s mad about the release of the iPod G5 with video capabilities
  • We ramble a bit about T.V. shows old and new
  • Mike Loves Blue Beetle but not Infinite Crisis
  • Crank goes to Cincinnati, OH, sees a metal show and some memories torn down
  • We play music by Splitsville and the outro is by Estuary

The pic above (clickie for a slightly larger version though still crappy) is of a pile of rubble where a club I used to play at has been torn down.

What’s up iTunes?

Friday, October 14th, 2005

I don’t know what the deal is with us not being listed in iTunes yet. We submitted almost two weeks ago. I even built a shrine to Adam Curry and Steve Jobs, but all that got me was Apple releasing a Video iPod that has over three times the room of my Nano and is only 30 bucks more… That’ll teach me to delve into the black arts.

But seriously, I figured out that you CAN subscribe through iTunes however, through the "Advanced>Subscribe to Podcast" feature. Just enter the feed url

Well, we did it!.. And man.. it turned out to be a long one!  What’d we cover? …

Erik Larsen’s CBR column about creators doing new original material.

Carla Speed McNeil’s FINDER going to the web.

Crank and Mike "sort of" introduce themselves.

We play "Scarred Heart" by The Vladimirs.

Mike talks about the lecture he gave at the Minneapolis College of Art.

We went over Tim Seeley’s Hack/Slash Stagefright playing here in Chicago.

Dry run, warts and all …

Wednesday, October 5th, 2005

This is an ambush I pulled on Mike during a seminar/class talk he was giving at a college in Minneapolis.

The only useful information here is that we launch on October 12th, 2005 and it’s a talk show about comics, movies, T.V., music or whatever we feel like going on about at the moment.

Oh and apparently we get dancing girls.

It’s supposed to double as both a promo and a test run to make sure the feed works an all that.

It sounds like crap.

I’m also using this to claim My Odeo Channel (odeo/54c4072518781581)

But it has a nifty clip from "Let’s Scare Jessica to Death" by the Vladimirs.
